Jack Krupansky is a software developer, consultant, and software entrepreneur. He has worked at computer companies such as Digital Equipment Corporation and Wang Laboratories, and many smaller companies, especially "start-ups". His original training and experience was in programming languages, compilers, and software development tools, but he has branched out into areas such as graphics and image processing, databases, web search engines, etc.
Jack invented Liana, an interpretive C/C++-like object-oriented programming language and class library and integrated development environment, originally for development of GUI Windows applications. He also created CodeScript, an embeddable version for non-GUI use. Liana is somewhat similar to Java and was developed around the same time, in the early 1990's. A description was published in the July 1992 issue of the C Users Journal. Unlike Java, Liana and CodeScript support dynamic execution of source code scripts and evaluation of source code expressions.

He has written a number of articles for Midnight Engineering magazine, Dr. Dobbs Journal, the C Users Journal, and PC Techniques magazine.
Jack signed The Manifesto for Agile Software Development on August 22, 2005. The goal is to favor and value individuals and interactions over processes and tools, working software over comprehensive documentation, customer collaboration over contract negotiation, and responding to change over merely following a plan. Great software evolves over time and can never be predicted by even the best of specifications. Jack believes in anything that makes the customer happy, keeps them happy, keeps them coming back for more, and inspires them to encourage others to seek out our services
